Established in 2016, the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (“Institute”) supports fundamental research to expand the boundaries of neuroscience. The Institute aims to foster cross-border interdisciplinary research to uncover the working mechanisms of the brain, and elucidate the neurological processes that drive perception.
The human brain is undoubtedly the most complex compact system and today remains very much an evolutionary mystery. To discover some of these answers, the Institute will adopt a holistic, collaborative and long-term approach around three core areas – brain discovery, brain treatment and brain development.
