Shanda Group Promotes Veteran Executive Jimmy Ho to Chief Operating Officer; Chrissy Luo Becomes President

Expanded role will streamline operations; mitigate risk

 

Redwood City, CA. March 7, 2022. Shanda Group, a global, privately-owned investment group founded in 1999 by Chinese online entertainment pioneer Tianqiao Chen and his family, today announced the promotion of Jimmy Ho to Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Mr. Ho will manage four different departments including Finance, IT, HR & Administration and Legal and will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, risk mitigation and compliance across the company. Shanda’s co-founder, Chrissy Luo, who was previously Shanda’s COO, will become President and will, among other things, oversee Tax and PR.

 

“Jimmy’s background, professional experience and time at the company, make him an ideal person for this role,” explained Shanda’s Chairman and CEO, Tianqiao Chen. “He has always been laser-focused on ensuring the company operates smoothly and securely and this expanded role will enable him to go even further.”

 

Jimmy Ho has worked at Shanda since 2003. When he first joined the company, he served in a variety of key finance and internal audit positions. From 2007 to 2015, he was Chief Financial Officer at Actoz Soft (Kosdaq: 052790), a Shanda company and in February 2015, he became an Executive Director at Shanda. In December 2016, he was again promoted to become Managing Director of Compliance and Finance. Mr. Ho, a certified public accountant (CPA) in California and a certified internal auditor, received a Bachelor of Economics degree from Central University of Finance and Economics in China.
